Protecting families and keeping the focus where it belongs - on the brave children and their loved ones
I want to be absolutely clear: I never have and never will reach out to the media to do a news story on me. I do not contact the media about myself or about any child I'm going to visit.
When a news outlet reaches out and asks to cover a superhero visit, I always tell them they must speak with the child's family first. These visits are about the child and their loved ones, not me.
Any photos or videos shared on my website or social media come directly from the hospital with the family's blessing, or from the family themselves, who choose to share them to help raise awareness. Every image tells a story of hope and courage that the families want to share with the world.
For any future news stories, the focus must remain on the child I'm visiting and their family. They are the heart of every story, every moment, and every reason I do what I do. Their courage, strength, and spirit are what deserve to be celebrated and shared.
